Terms of Use
Last updated: September 23, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Listen mobile application (the “App”) and this website. By using the App you agree to them. The App is also licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); where these terms and the EULA differ, the EULA applies.
1. The service
Listen reads your Apple Music listening history and, with your permission, your music library's play counts to create a map of where your music comes from, personal charts, stats and shareable story videos. Artist origins come from public music databases and may occasionally be incomplete or wrong.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Apple ID. Keep your device secure — you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use the App. You can delete your account at any time in the App.
3. Apple Music
Syncing your history and playing full tracks requires an active Apple Music subscription, which is sold by Apple, not by us. Listen is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple Inc. Apple Music and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc.
4. Listen Premium subscriptions
- Listen Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store, billed annually or monthly. Prices are shown in the App before you buy, in your local currency.
- A free trial may be offered to new subscribers. When it ends, the subscription starts and is charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Deleting the App or your Listen account does not cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies — you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the App: no reverse engineering, scraping, interfering with the service, getting around subscription features, or using it to break the law or anyone's rights.
6. Content and intellectual property
The App, its design and its code belong to us. Music, artwork and artist information belong to their respective owners and are shown through Apple Music and other sources under their terms. Stats cards and videos you create are yours to share for personal, non-commercial use.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Listen running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free — it depends on services such as Apple Music that we don't control. We may change, add or remove features over time.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Stats and charts are for entertainment and may not exactly match Apple's own figures.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Listen Premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously break these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the App. Continuing to use the App means you accept the updated terms.
